I agree 100% on how watching horror movies can give a person a certain amount of strength and hope in dealing with whatever life is throwing at them in the moment or in the past. I actually wrote an article about my own personal experience with a couple movies from 1988 that i had watched back when I was a teenager.

Do you have a link to the article? I would love to read it! And now I'm curious, what movies (if you'd like to share)?

The power of movies when we are teens. I recently rewatched Near Dark, still a great film and so different now as an adult and I was cringing at teenage me, lol.

And some adolescent movies, still hold their significance for us.
